Official sleep partner of Alpecin-Premier Tech
Three weeks of racing, a different hotel every night and not a single day off for your body. During the Grand Tours, Revor makes sure the riders of Alpecin-Premier Tech climb into the same familiar bed every night. Because riders who sleep well, ride better.
What does a cycling team's sleep partner do?
Top performances in the Giro, the Tour and the Vuelta aren't only decided on the bike, but also at night. As official sleep partner, we provide every Alpecin-Premier Tech rider with their own Revor mattress, matched to their build and sleeping preferences. That mattress travels with them for the whole race, from the Grand Départ to the final stage.
The result: no changing hotel mattresses, no getting used to a new bed, just the same sleeping comfort as at home, every night.
From hotel to hotel: this is how the Tour de Matras works
Behind every good night are Dirk and Carine, our mattress carriers. They travel with the team and are ready at the next hotel every day. While the riders are still racing, the mattresses are unloaded, placed in the rooms and made ready. In the morning, everything moves on to the next stage.
8 riders, 8 mattresses and around 15 hotels per Grand Tour. Every day, three Grand Tours a year.
A big thank you to Dirk and Carine, the quiet force behind the Tour de Matras.
Why a cycling team invests in sleep
A 200-kilometre stage asks a lot of a body. Recovery happens largely at night, and it starts with a bed that supports you well and that you don't have to get used to. That's why Alpecin-Premier Tech sticks to the same sleep set-up, wherever the stage finishes. For the riders, it's one less thing to think about. For us, it's the best proof that our mattresses do what they promise.
